HI. Remember me? At each post I say it's been a while. Yeah, for some time now I haven't been drawing much. I should work on that (I AM actually working on it...). So here's what I did.

Illustrations of RPs with herrpoink , some mythology stuff, and one Tomb Raider fanart.

Left to right: Vence and Gonzague belong to herrpoink and Azandra belongs to me. Vence and Azandra are vampire brother and sister. Another RP illustration, Andrei belongs to Poink and Josephine (Josie) belongs to me. Andrei is a werewolf hobo, and Josie is a fat french prostitute. She's giving him pastries because she thought he looked hungry...

This scanner is a dirty poopface but you get the idea... The 3 main Gods of Greek/Roman mythology, Hades/Pluto, Zeus/Jupiter, Poseidon/Neptune. A while ago I wanted to make a comic about Olympian Gods, I just might get back at it, I'm still missing a few characters designs.

Aphrodite/Venus, an almost invisible and unfinished sketch of Ares/Mars (told ya I was missing character designs) and Apollo. I'm trying to make them resemble their original description, yet different than what has already been seen and done with them. If you remember, Venus used to be blonde in my design but i changed it to red to make it a little less cliché. I am open for design suggestions if you have any.

And finally a Tomb Raider fanart. I've been playing the two latest Tomb Raider games and remembered good old Lara Croft and her habit of falling from very high cliffs. She doesn't have a head because I couldn't draw it properly, so there. I should draw more of her, she and Link from The Legend of Zelda should create a league of people who break stuff.

SUP GUYS.

I finished a drawing the other day. I SWEAR IT'S TRUE.

And I'm on holiday now. Going to Canada on Tuesday! 10+ HOURS FLIGHT YAY WOO HOORAY FFFFFFF but Canada will be fun. The rest of the holidays will be boring.

1. I usually appear very cold, distant and pretentious but I'm actually a self-loathing pushover.

2. This year I've had the best moments and the most depressing moments of my life.

3. I haven't been reasonably productive with my art in a year or so. I don't have the motivation to finish what I start and it's depressing.

Okay.

SO now this first year in Supinfocom school of 3D animation is over. We haven't actually started any 3D or animation at all yet, heheh. Anyway. This was a fun year. I learned stuff. I learned to draw a little bit better, but I wish we had more drawing classes. Made movies. Drew tulips(oh these goddamned tulips). Learned vector art. Adobe Illustrator is not always a nice guy. Can't wait to start animating next year.
Apart from the classes, the people were a great part of this year. I think I never made as many good friends at the same time. It's nice to be able to talk to everyone naturally, to say stupid things and having people follow your lead instead of staring at you for being such a goof. I met a lot of awesome people. I'm not best buds with everyone in the class, but there weren't really any conflicts, which is nice. I hope it lasts.

Now it's drawing time. Something I'm kind of pretty much proud of or something I dunno I just drew this shit durrr. I'm so unsure about my art lately.

Hi. Once again, random doodle/sketch post. Been pretty busy at school these days, with the end-of-year exams coming along.

Some things sketched with herrpoink during today's art history class. We weren't really being taught any history at all today.

HEILO THERE FAGGETS

I'm gonna show you some unfinished crap. Let me know if it's not worth finishing and/or what I should change while I still can.

The twins Geto and Dura from my Nachos Army project. Apparently discussing something in the dormitory. The perspective is still a bit fucked up... I'll fix that.

This one is already inked, critique if you want but I can't change it anymore x) It's Ashley and Ulrich. Ulrich belongs to herrpoink , and I created Ashley for her project (see previous post). Just chilling out and talking.

From my Furies project, Jonas and his wife Nadja before Jonas lost his arm. He was a pianist and she was a classical singer. They broke up not long after Jonas lost his arm because it created conflict between them. Jonas became a whiny junkie with no job, soon enough they couldn't stand each other...
I like how this came out. There are some curtains in the background but they don't show on the scan.

I don't know how I'll color these. The second one will probably be in markers; but for the two others, digital or watercolor?

Uh, hi guys, remember me?

Heheh. I know, I haven't posted in a while, blahblah. I haven't had much posting material lately. But today, I bring to you Ashley!

Ashley was created on a train, specially for herrpoink . She needed a hitman for her project, and asked me if I could create one for her. Naturally I said yes, and Ashley was born!

Here are my first sketches:

This is a color test, by that time I had her clothing style more defined. I actually think this one is better colored than the following.

This is the Ultimate Definitive Ashley, a childishly annoying party animal with exceptional social skills and a hitman contract. Wow, I described her in one sentence. Anyway, since she's not part of my own project, she's mostly an RP character to me, and she's a LOT of fun to RP with because she has such a big mouth.

Hope that compensated the hiatus. Cheers!

AH YES I'm finally updating!

Sorry it took so long, I just didn't have anything to post here. But now, I finally designed and drew three very important characters for my Furies project: the Furies themselves.

But first of all, let me quote the Wikipedia article about Furies:

"In Greek mythology the Erinyes (Ερινύες) or Eumenides (or Furies in Roman mythology) were female, chthonic deities of vengeance or supernatural personifications of the anger of the dead. [...] Their number is usually left indeterminate. Virgil [...] recognized three: Alecto ("unceasing," who appeared in Virgil's Aeneid), Megaera ("grudging"), and Tisiphone ("avenging murder"). Dante followed Virgil in depicting the same three-charactered triptych of Erinyes. The heads of the Erinyes were wreathed with serpents (compare Gorgon) and their eyes dripped with blood, rendering their appearance rather horrific. Sometimes they had the wings of a bat or bird and the body of a dog. [...] When not stalking victims on Earth, the Furies were thought to dwell in Tartarus where they applied their tortures to the damned souls there."

I tried to be faithful to their original description, with some personal touches added here and there. They have more or less the same basic design, the difference between them being the hair and horns. As for the story, they basically thought it would be more fun to have humans (the four I described in earlier entries, lurk you fgts) do their jobs in their place. Of course Pluto wasn't too pleased that they brought living mortals in his realm. He's generally pissed with the Furies because they're not good with rules; they know what applies to mortals but tend to overlook what concerns them...

Enough chit-chat. PICS!

This one is Alecto. She's the one with the ibex horns and the long, tidy hair. I'm quite happy with the snakes and bloody tears on this one, but overall it's kind of wonky... I tried a human nose on her, which looks better than the bat snout to me (see next pictures). Also they're always wiping their tears because their eyes drip constantly.

And this is Megaera; she has antelope horns and shorter pointy hair. At the time I drew this, I tried the bat nose to match the ears and wings, but then I was told it looked too furfaggy, so I decided on a human nose after this drawing was finished.

And finally, Tisiphone has bull horns and the um...hair that's in lumps and pulled back at the top. I really don't like the way I colored this. I think I don't have enough pastel colors to make it look better, or I just dont know how to use them properly yet. The sketch looked a lot better... I'll probably re-do it later with some other technique. Again, bat nose is out.

These took the longest to design, but I'm still open for suggestions. What do you think?

What was the first thing you did this morning? Hit 5 walls on my way to the bathroom (which is right next to my bedroom)

Part 10: IF YOU HAD TO

And in bonus, a little painting I did of Célia (see Furies posts for more info on her).

Short summary of her story: she's an orphan raised as a nun, she was very rebellious as a child, and ran away from her convent at age 17. She met Marie, a prostitute who helped her survive in the street, in other words she taught her things she would never have known living in a convent. Célia was later found by the head nun, and as a punishment for her sin, they burned her face. She was then kicked out of the convent again, and found herself faceless, back to the street where she had met Marie. Marie gives her a mask and turns her into a very popular cabaret dancer. Marie then gets jealous and ruins Célia's act, revealing her mangled face to the audience. Betrayed and alone, Célia will then meet the Furies.

Since I've been so artistically inactive lately, here's something I did for my arts class. We had to choose a theme and make 7 to 10 pieces about it, and I chose cinema.

Here's what I did, with a short description for each (I won't mention all the artistic notions and references unless you ask me to -- it would take too long and I think nobody cares xD). Some of the images are blurry because I had to turn off the flash...

Number one is the trailer, pics of my school with famous movie characters inserted.

This one is the movie poster, based on a painting by Roy Lichtenstein entitled "M-maybe". The critic thingy at the top says "A masterpiece!"

This one is in reference to Clint Eastwood and Sergio Leone movies. A series of drawings of Clint in different techniques (pencil, marker, watercolor, computer, pastel)

Bellbottoms

I made up new characters. Some of you already know about them. The idea came from a name, "Dr. Bellbottoms", that stayed on my mind for a while, until I created the character a few weeks ago. Maybe I'll make a comic out of it, but the first shot will probably be text. The story will take place in a parisian hospital...

Name: Edward Harvey Bellbottoms
Nickname: The Martian, Ed, Eddy.
Age: 42
Nationality: American
Hair: Greenish blond
Eyes: Radioactive green (+glasses)
Occupation: Medical examiner (aka forsenic scientist -- basically the dude who opens up dead bodies)
Personality: A generally joyful person, Bellbottoms is quite a nut job and appears as a weirdo to most people, which made him a bit cynical. Somehow his crazy side and the fact that he works at the morgue gave him a bad reputation, and he doesn't get along with his colleagues.
Likes: Swimming -- claims that he could have become an Olympic athlete in this discipline if it wasn't for his medical vocation (not washing the pool water off his hair made it turn greenish), exploring the human body with his scalpel, teasing his lovely assistant.
Dislikes: People saying his hair is green, Amélie's boyfriends.
History: Used to be a surgeon in USA, but his tendency to operate where he's not supposed to operate just for the hell of exploring bodies caused him trouble with his colleagues. Just before an operation, they told the patient what Bellbottoms intended to do in his intestines when he was supposed to be operated for a brain tumor. The patient lost his temper and took the scalpel from Bellbottoms' hands, grabbed him by the face, and gave him that huge scar he has, while threatening to sue him. Bellbottoms decided to move out of the country and landed in France where he decided to become a medical examiner, because dead people wouldn't dream of giving him another scar.

On another note, I really don't like this drawing, and I hate how anime his right eye looks, but I don't have anything else right now.

Personality: Usually a lovely girl, but meeting Bellbottoms will reveal her sarcastic and snarky side. Has a lot of friends, some of them she'll lose after meeting Bellbottoms, who in their opinion radically changed her formerly outgoing and social self. Very worried about what people think of her.
Likes: Helping people(in the beginning, she wanted to work as a nurse for the contact with patients); going out with friends; taking advantage of Bellbottoms' attraction for her.
Dislikes: When Bellbottoms ruins her plans, having a bad reputation.
History: Studied to become a nurse, but when she came with her friends to apply for a job, her CV fell into the hands of Edward H. Bellbottoms, and she ended up working with him at the morgue even though she wanted to help living patients.

On other news, I started writing the story for Nachos Army. I'll probably post it here; and I probably won't draw the comic anytime soon, it's much simpler to write it.

Posting a bit of Furies faggotry that's been lying around... mostly silly doodles not worth posting anywhere, so I'm dumpin' them over here ^^

Msn doodle. Jonas doesn't sleep much because of his drug habit. If you tell him he looks sick, he'd tell you it's because he didn't sleep the previous night. (I reaaally wonder why...)

SUP GUIZES.

I'd like to introduce you to a new character for the project entitled Nachos Army (see earlier entry for more info). Well, she's not that new, she was created about a year ago. She plays an important role in the story, so I thought I'd introduce her.

Nayo (pronounced like mayonnaise, lol) is an army officer whose task is to educate young soldiers before they enter the army. These young people are usually late teenagers who failed their studies and think they're smarter than everyone else, pseudo-rebels and such. She's there to teach them who's boss, put them in physical shape, teach them how to use guns, etc. See the beginning of Full Metal Jacket? This is basically what Nayo does.

I don't have many recent drawings of her, and I'd rather not show the old ones, but here's a little profile.

Eyes: Khaki green
Personality: Can be very sadistic and cruel with her soldiers, she enjoys giving them a hard time and using her authority. She is however much nicer in private, even though she still has this wickedness in her.
Other Details: Geto's girlfriend. Enjoys classical music.

Furies characters

HALLO THAR

I wanted to post more about Nachos Army first, but I don't have enough material yet, so I'm already going to confuse you with another project: Furies.

This is a comic inspired by Greek/Roman mythology; it's about the Furies, who are the personification of vengeance. basically, they punish those who break natural laws, betray, kill, etc, and get away with it. They were said to stalk their victims and drive them crazy, or sometimes use sophisticated plans to ruin the said person's life.

The original Furies, Alecto, Tisiphone and Megeara, are the ones you hear about in the myths (horrible creatures with snakes entangled in their hair, etc). They found that they were having trouble doing their jobs right by being invisible to mortals, and thought it would be fun to infiltrate humans to do their jobs. So they chose four humans to do the jobs for them, under their supervision of course. The second type are the "mortal" ones, a small group of humans who apply the Furies' orders.

And all these Furies live in the Underworld, ruled by none other than the God Pluto and his beloved wife Proserpina. They're not usually involved with living humans, consequently Pluto wasn't very pleased to hear that the three Furies had let living mortals enter the Underworld. As a result, he keeps a close eye on those four "intruders".

The Human Furies all have their own little story (which I will tell about later), and a specific mutilation. They're also supposed to have a red mark under their left eye but I keep forgetting to draw it :B

History : Recieved his share of the world -the Underworld- after his brother Jupiter defeated their father Saturn to gain the throne of Olympus.
Other things : Isn’t normally involved in the Furies’ business because humans don’t interest him unless they’re dead. Rarely goes out on Earth or at Olympus, where he's not usually welcome.

Roman name : Proserpina
Greek name : Persephone
Goddess of Rebirth, queen of the Underworld
Likes : Singing, flowers, the spring and auntumn equinoxes
Dislikes : The spring and autumn equinoxes
History : Daughter of Ceres, she was supposed to be a virgin Goddess before Pluto fell in love with her and abducted her to be his Queen.
Other things : Only in the underworld six months a year, during autumn and winter. In spring and summer, she lives in Sicily with her mother. Usually found in the Elysian fields (aka heaven). Not really physically attracted to Pluto, but she likes him. Sort of.

The Furies and Gods were inspired by Greek/Roman mythology. I did not make them up, they are only my interpretation of the myths. I do however own Elias, Célia, Jill and Jonas.

Nachos Army characters part 1

In b4 YAY FIRST ENTRY

My earliest (active) comic project is called The Chronicles of Nachos Army (referred to as Nachos Army for short). It takes place in a galaxy of 7 planets (the names and details will be posted later) which is under the domination of a tyrant named Nachos (ridiculous name intended). The main characters of the comic are members of his army, and they’re assigned to various missions around the galaxy.

The story will be about these missions, but the main plot line revolves around the twins, Geto and Dura, who are prince and princess of planet Phrygia, and were enrolled in the army against their will. Their goal is to raise a revolution against Nachos not only to set the galaxy free but especially to regain their freedom and their throne on Phrygia. Nachos will get wind of these projects and at some point of the story will start planning to eliminate one of the two twins.

Some parts of the story will take place while the Phrygian characters are on permission on their home planet, where you’ll get to meet their families and other relatives…

Age is irrelevant, most of them are in their 20’s.
